PURPOSE OF NEED: Modern society is plagued by a number of seeming intractable problems such as: work, family, relationships, violence, racial discord, crime and others. To Carl Jung, at the root of these various problems lies an underlying cause: people have lost a sense of life's purpose, meaning and connected with the Divine. Regaining this connectedness and sense of meaning and purpose requires a profound change in the culture, one that supports people in learning impulse control, responsibility, self-knowledge, and ultimately, the discovery of higher purpose. The effective of this spiritual support will greatly increased if principles applied are rooted in universal truths rather than local dogma.
